Core Sensors

Pressure & Temperature Sensing Solutions

Core Sensors is a USA based manufacturer of highly configurable sensors, transducers, and transmitters for measuring pressure and temperature properties in industrial and hazardous applications.

Products

Industrial Pressure Transducers

Core Sensors offers a variety of pressure transducer configurations for industrial pressure measurement applications. The term industrial encompasses many different applications and requirements. Design for a single pressure transducer or for OEM applications. Packaging of the sensor can be modified to ensure sensor survivability and optimal performance in environmental conditions from factory floors to outdoor equipment that is cleaned with high pressure wash downs.

Key Features

  • ≤ ± 0.25% BFSL accuracy
  • Gauge, absolute, sealed gauge, or differential
  • Broad range of outputs and electrical connections
  • Very competitive lead times
  • Assembled in USA

Hazardous Location Pressure Transducers

Hazardous location pressure transducers are used in areas that require third party certifications to ensure that the sensor can operate safely. Core Sensors offers Non-Incendive, Intrinsically Safe, and Explosion-Proof pressure transducers certified by CSA. ANSI/UL 122701 Single Seal is available on select sensors for Canadian installations. These pressure transducers are ideal for applications including tank level (both submersible and external), oilfield installations, process plants and compression equipment including CNG stations. Various materials, fittings, and output signals are available with competitive lead times and prices.

Key Features

  • ≤ ± 0.25% BFSL accuracy
  • Single pressure and differential designs
  • Variety of sensor materials
  • Low power designs for IoT
  • Designed for Harsh Environments
  • Assembled in USA

Submersible Pressure / Level Transducers

Submersible pressure transducers, also known as hydrostatic level sensors, measure level by converting the pressure of a liquid based on its height above the sensor and its density into a linear output signal. These sensors can be a cost effective solution for monitoring water level in outdoor applications as well as for measurement inside tanks that are vented to atmosphere such as diesel fuel tanks. Submersible pressure transducers are available with intrinsically safe ratings for applications that are considered hazardous locations.

Key Features

  • ≤ ± 0.25% BFSL accuracy
  • 4-20mA or voltage outputs
  • Low current consumption output available
  • ETFE cable jacket with wide diameter vent tube
  • Intrinsically safe rating available
  • Assembled in USA

Differential Pressure Transducers

Differential pressure transducers measure the difference in pressure between two points, typically referred to as P1 and P2 or high side and low side. This type of sensor can be used to monitor level in a sealed tank, cleanliness of a filter, or flow across an orifice. Differential pressure transducers can be packaged in miniature OEM designs or rugged industrial packages. Our DP sensors can also be calibrated as unidirectional or bidirectional depending on the customer’s application. DP’s are available in industrial and hazardous location approved configurations. Core Sensors offers standard differential pressure transducers with analog voltage and current output signals. Additionally, Core Sensors will create custom differential pressure sensors and transducers to your needs.

Key Features

  • ≤ ± 0.25% BFSL accuracy
  • Wet/Wet | Wet/Dry | Dry/Dry
  • No Internal O-rings
  • 1/4″ NPT Process Connections
  • Unidirectional and Bi-Directional Measurement Ranges Available
  • Designed for Harsh Environments
  • Assembled in USA

High Temperature Pressure Sensors

Core Sensors offers high temperature pressure sensors up to 200°C with a metal-to-metal flare process connection, compensated millivolt output signal, and a high strength glass-to-metal seal electrical connection. Each of our high temperature pressure sensors comes with an integral PT1000 temperature output for additional measurement capabilities.

High temperature pressure sensors are sensors that operate beyond the industry standard operating temperatures of 85°C to 125°C. Core high temperature products feature a bulk silicon sensing element free of welds, O-ring, and fluid filled cavities, containing the process and minimizing risks. Whether standard or custom designed, our high temperature pressure sensors are designed to operate in harsh environments, surviving various temperature, shock, and vibration conditions.

RTD Temperature Transmitters

RTD temperature transmitters are offered with various probe lengths and packaged with a welded housing for rugged, industrial applications. An integral amplifier eliminates the need to externally amplify the output signal, streamlining the installation process. Configurable temperature ranges up to 200°C and a 316L SS thread and probe allow for installation in a wide variety of applications.
